Garment Care
Care
Nothing sits in a warehouse. Each piece is made only when you order it, so we create no deadstock and never mass-produce.
Treat the piece the way it was made — deliberately. Cold wash, inside out, line dry in shade, and let the distressing do what it was designed to do.
01
Washing
- Turn the piece inside out before every wash. This is what protects the print and the wash finish.
- Cold water only, 30°C / 80°F maximum, on a gentle cycle.
- Wash with like colours. A garment-dyed piece may release a little dye in its first wash — that is the wash doing what a wash does.
- No bleach, no fabric softener. Both attack the print and the dye.
- Wash less, not more. Air it out between wears and spot-clean small marks instead.
02
Drying & Pressing
- Line dry in shade. Never a tumble dryer — heat shrinks the cotton and cracks the print.
- Reshape the shoulders and hem while the fabric is still damp.
- If you press it, do it inside out on low heat, and never directly across the print.
- Steam is kinder than an iron. If you have one, use it.
03
Distressing & Raw Hems
- Every tear, fray and worn edge is placed on purpose. It is not damage, and it is not a defect.
- Raw hems keep fraying as you wear and wash them. That is the design continuing, not failing.
- Do not cut loose threads. Pull them through to the inside and stop them with a small knot.
- Avoid rough surfaces and a heavy bag rubbing the same spot — that is where a tear will widen.
04
Storage
- Fold heavier pieces. Hang tees and polos on wide hangers so the shoulders don't dent.
- Keep them out of direct sun. The wash fades unevenly, and that fade will show.
- Leave space between pieces. Garments pressed together for months crease permanently.
